Description
Rustic peach galette made with juicy fresh peaches baked inside a flaky golden crust. An easy summer dessert with homemade bakery-style flavor.
Ingredients
1 pie crust dough
4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon butter, diced
1 egg for egg wash
1 tablespoon coarse sugar (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Mix peaches, sugars, cornstarch, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
3. Roll dough into a circle and place on baking sheet.
4. Add peach filling to center and fold edges over filling.
5. Brush crust with egg wash and bake 35–40 minutes until golden.
Notes
Best served warm.
Pairs perfectly with vanilla ice cream.
Chill dough before baking for flaky texture.
Store refrigerated after cooling.
