Description
Cherry Clafoutis – a classic French baked dessert with cherries in a soft custard batter.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups cherries, pitted
3 eggs
½ cup sugar
1 cup milk
½ cup flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp salt
1 tbsp melted butter
1 tbsp powdered sugar
Instructions
1. Preheat oven and butter baking dish
2. Spread cherries in dish
3. Whisk eggs and sugar
4. Add milk, vanilla, and butter
5. Add flour and salt
6. Pour batter over cherries
7. Bake 35–40 minutes
8. Cool slightly and dust with sugar
Notes
Do not overmix batter
Use fresh cherries for best flavor
Let rest before serving
Serve warm or room temperature
