Refreshing homemade strawberry sorbet made with fresh strawberries, lemon juice, and simple ingredients for a light summer dessert.
Ingredients
5 cups strawberries
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Heat sugar and water until dissolved.
2. Cool syrup completely.
3. Blend strawberries, lemon juice, zest, salt, and syrup.
4. Strain if desired.
5. Chill mixture thoroughly.
6. Churn according to ice cream maker instructions.
7. Freeze until firm.
8. Serve.
Notes
Use ripe strawberries for best flavor.
Chill before churning.
Allow to soften before scooping.
Store in airtight container.
