Description
Rustic cherry tart with buttery flaky crust and juicy cherry filling baked until golden and jammy.
Ingredients
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup cold butter
3–5 tablespoons ice water
3 cups cherries
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
1. Make and chill tart dough.
2. Mix cherry filling ingredients.
3. Roll dough into circle.
4. Add filling and fold edges.
5. Brush with egg wash.
6. Bake until golden and bubbling.
Notes
Chill dough for flakier crust.
Use parchment paper for easy baking.
Let cool before slicing.
Add cornstarch for frozen cherries.
