Description
Roasted cherries made in the oven with honey, lemon, and vanilla for a sweet caramelized fruit topping.
Ingredients
3 cups cherries pitted
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon optional
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Place cherries in baking dish.
3. Add honey, lemon juice, and vanilla.
4. Sprinkle salt and cinnamon.
5. Toss to coat.
6. Roast 15–20 minutes.
7. Stir halfway through.
8. Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Roasting intensifies cherry flavor.
Use for desserts or breakfast toppings.
Store in syrup for best texture.
Can be blended into sauce.
