Description

A warm and rustic pear cobbler featuring sliced pears tossed in maple syrup and lemon juice, topped with a crisp brown sugar oat crumble.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit Layer:

4 pears, cored and cut into 1/2-inch slices

1 teaspoon lemon juice

⅓ cup maple syrup

2 tablespoons melted butter

Topping:

1 cup rolled oats

1 cup brown sugar

½ cup melted butter

½ cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.

2. Toss sliced pears, lemon juice, maple syrup, and 2 tbsp melted butter together in the baking dish.

3. Combine rolled oats, brown sugar, all-purpose flour, and ground cinnamon in a bowl.

4. Pour in ½ cup melted butter and stir with a fork until crumbly.

5. Scatter oat topping evenly over the fruit layer.

6. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until golden and bubbling; cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Select firm, ripe pears so they hold their shape during baking. Let the cobbler sit for 10 minutes after baking so the maple juices thicken.
