Description
Classic peach pie made with juicy fresh peaches baked inside a flaky golden crust. A homemade summer dessert perfect for gatherings and family dinners.
Ingredients
1 double pie crust
6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 tablespoon butter, diced
1 egg for egg wash
1 tablespoon coarse sugar (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and place pie crust into pie dish.
2. Mix peaches, sugars, cornstarch, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
3. Pour filling into crust and dot with butter.
4. Cover with second crust, seal edges, cut slits, and brush with egg wash.
5. Bake for 45–55 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
Let pie cool before slicing.
Best served warm.
Store refrigerated after first day.
Pairs perfectly with vanilla ice cream.
