Description
Classic Peach Melba made with poached peaches, homemade raspberry sauce, and vanilla ice cream for an elegant summer dessert.
Ingredients
4 peaches peeled and halved
3 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 cups raspberries
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
6 scoops vanilla ice cream
Fresh raspberries for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare poaching liquid.
2. Poach peaches until tender.
3. Cool peaches completely.
4. Cook raspberries with sugar and lemon juice.
5. Strain sauce.
6. Chill sauce.
7. Place ice cream in serving dishes.
8. Top with peaches.
9. Spoon raspberry sauce over top.
10. Garnish and serve.
Notes
Use ripe peaches for best flavor.
Strain raspberry sauce for smooth texture.
Assemble just before serving.
