Description

Warm and elegant Bosc pears baked with golden honey and butter, served with pan caramel juices and a drizzle of rich heavy whipping cream.

Ingredients

Scale

2 tablespoons butter, divided

2 tablespoons honey, divided

2 Bosc pears, halved and cored

½ cup heavy whipping cream

Optional: pinch of salt

Optional: cinnamon or vanilla for extra flavor

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.

2. Wash, halve, and core 2 Bosc pears, then place skin-side down in prepared dish.

3. Place 1 tbsp divided butter and 1 tbsp divided honey into the cored wells of the fruit.

4. Drizzle remaining 1 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp honey over tops; sprinkle with optional salt, cinnamon, or vanilla if using.

5. Bake for 22 to 25 minutes until fruit is tender and easily pierced with a knife.

6. Transfer warm pears to dessert bowls, spoon pan juices over top, and drizzle with ½ cup heavy whipping cream.

Notes

Use firm Bosc pears so they hold their shape during baking. Serve warm for the best temperature contrast with the cold cream.
