Ingredients

2 lbs potatoes
1 tbsp oil
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
1 cup cream
½ cup milk
8 oz cheese
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
1 tbsp thyme optional
Instructions
1. Boil potatoes
2. Cook onion and garlic
3. Layer ingredients
4. Add cream
5. Top with cheese
6. Bake until golden
7. Serve warm
Notes
Use soft melting cheese
Do not overcook potatoes
Let rest before serving
