Description
Soft baked donuts coated in a sweet cinnamon sugar topping for an easy bakery-style breakfast treat.
Ingredients
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup melted butter for coating
1/2 cup granulated sugar for coating
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for coating
Instructions
1. Preheat oven and grease donut pan.
2. Mix dry ingredients.
3. Whisk wet ingredients.
4. Combine wet and dry mixtures.
5. Fill donut pan.
6. Bake until lightly golden.
7. Cool slightly.
8. Brush with melted butter.
9. Coat in cinnamon sugar mixture.
10. Serve and enjoy.
Notes
Do not overmix the batter.
Coat donuts while warm.
Use a piping bag for easier filling.
Store in an airtight container.
