Description
Strawberry Turnovers are golden, flaky pastries filled with sweet strawberry jam. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a delightful snack.
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry thawed
1 cup strawberry jam
1 egg beaten for egg wash
1 tablespoon sugar for sprinkling
Optional: powdered sugar for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line baking sheet.
2. Roll out puff pastry sheet on floured surface.
3. Cut pastry into 4–6 squares.
4. Place 1–2 tablespoons of strawberry jam in center of each square.
5. Fold pastry over filling to create triangle and seal edges.
6. Brush top with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
7. Make small slits on top for steam to escape.
8. Bake 15–20 minutes until golden and puffed.
9. Remove and let cool slightly.
10. Optional: Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Use your favorite fruit jam or pie filling.
Add fresh strawberry slices for extra freshness.
Brush with glaze made of powdered sugar and milk for sweetness.
Make smaller turnovers for bite-sized treats.
Serve with coffee, tea, or milk.
