Description
Strawberry Lemonade Bars are sweet and tangy dessert bars with fresh strawberries, bright lemon flavor, and a buttery shortbread crust.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed
3/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon lemon zest
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. Mix butter and sugar until smooth.
3. Add flour and salt and mix to form dough.
4. Press dough evenly into baking pan.
5. Bake crust 15-18 minutes until lightly golden.
6. Whisk strawberry puree, lemon juice, zest, sugar, eggs, and flour.
7. Pour filling over hot crust.
8. Bake 22-25 minutes until filling is set.
9. Cool completely and refrigerate 1 hour.
10. Dust with powdered sugar and slice.
Notes
Use fresh strawberries for best flavor.
Add extra lemon zest for stronger citrus flavor.
Chill before slicing for clean bars.
Line pan with parchment for easy removal.
