Description

Ingredients
2 lbs fresh strawberries hulled and halved
2 cups granulated sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
Instructions
1. Place strawberries in large saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add sugar and lemon juice, stir to combine.
3. Bring mixture to boil, stirring frequently.
4. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 20–25 minutes until thickened.
5. Mash strawberries to desired consistency.
6. Optional: Stir in vanilla extract.
7. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
8. Transfer to sterilized jars and seal tightly.
9. Allow to cool completely before refrigerating or storing.
