Description

Strawberry basil grilled cheese with melty cheese, sweet strawberries, and aromatic basil. Perfect sweet-savory sandwich for lunch or brunch.


Ingredients

Scale

4 slices bread

2 tablespoons butter softened

4 oz cream cheese softened

1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar

68 fresh strawberries sliced

68 fresh basil leaves

Honey optional


Instructions

1. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice

2. Spread cream cheese on unbuttered side

3. Layer cheese, strawberries, and basil

4. Top with second bread slice, buttered side out

5. Cook in skillet 3–4 minutes per side

6. Remove and drizzle honey if desired

7. Slice and serve immediately

Use brie for creaminess
