Description
Rich and hearty spaghetti meat sauce made with tomatoes, herbs, onions, garlic, and tender ground beef.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
1 can (14 ounces) tomato sauce
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 cup water or beef broth
12 ounces cooked spaghetti
Fresh parsley or basil
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan and sauté onion.
2. Add garlic and cook briefly.
3. Brown the ground beef and break it apart.
4. Season with herbs and spices.
5. Stir in tomato paste and cook 1 minute.
6. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and broth.
7. Simmer for 25–30 minutes.
8. Serve over spaghetti with fresh herbs.
Notes
Simmer longer for richer flavor.
Add grated Parmesan for extra richness.
Freeze leftovers for easy future meals.
