Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts
Extra powdered sugar for coating
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add vanilla extract, flour, and salt; mix until combined.
4. Fold in nuts gently to avoid overmixing.
5. Shape into 1-inch balls and place on baking sheet.
6. Bake for 12–15 minutes until bottoms are lightly golden.
7. Cool for 5 minutes, then roll in powdered sugar while warm.
8. Once cooled, roll again for a thick, snowy coating.
Notes
Store in airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze up to 3 months.
For a nut-free version, replace nuts with mini chocolate chips.
