Description

Smoked Salmon Pinwheels deliver a creamy, smoky, and fresh bite that looks elegant on any platter. These no-cook tortilla pinwheels come together in minutes and work perfectly for brunch, parties, or easy entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale

4 large flour tortillas

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped

Salt and black pepper, to taste

8 ounces smoked salmon slices

1/2 cucumber, cut into thin matchsticks (optional)

Fresh spinach leaves (optional)

Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, mix softened cream cheese with lemon juice, lemon zest, dill, chives, salt, and pepper until smooth and spreadable.

2. Lay a tortilla flat on a work surface and spread a thin, even layer of the cream cheese mixture all the way to the edges.

3. Place smoked salmon slices evenly over the cream cheese layer.

4. Add thin cucumber matchsticks and a few spinach leaves if using.

5. Roll the tortilla tightly from one side to the other to form a log.

6. Wrap the roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.

7. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.

8. Using a sharp knife, slice each chilled roll into 1-inch pinwheels and arrange on a platter.

9. Garnish with extra dill or lemon zest and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

Prepare rolls up to 6 hours ahead and keep chilled until slicing.

Use flavored or colored tortillas for a festive presentation.

Swap cream cheese for whipped goat cheese for a tangy variation.

Do not freeze pinwheels; cream cheese and smoked salmon do not thaw well.
