Description

Classic Sloppy Joes with sweet and tangy ground beef filling, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 small onion, finely diced

1/2 green bell pepper, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup ketchup

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon mustard

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

4 hamburger buns

Optional: pickles or shredded cheese


Instructions

1. Brown ground beef and drain fat.

2. Sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic.

3. Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper.

4. Simmer 10 minutes until sauce thickens.

5. Taste and adjust seasoning.

6. Spoon onto toasted buns.

7. Top with pickles or cheese and serve.

Notes

Add mushrooms for extra moisture.

Adjust spice or sweetness to taste.
