Ingredients
2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
¾ cup warm water (110°F)
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp olive oil
½ cup pizza sauce
1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Fresh basil leaves
¼ cup sliced bell peppers
¼ cup sliced mushrooms
Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Activate the yeast with warm water and sugar.
2. Mix flour, salt, and yeast mixture to make dough.
3. Knead until smooth and elastic.
4. Let dough rise for 1 hour.
5. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
6. Shape the dough into a 12-inch circle.
7. Spread sauce and add toppings.
8. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden.
9. Slice and serve immediately.
Notes
Use a pizza stone for a crispier crust.
