Description

Fudgy, rich, and filled with buttery caramel swirls, these Salted Caramel Brownies deliver a perfect balance of sweet and salty with a soft, gooey texture.


Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 ¼ cups granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar

4 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips

1/2 cup salted caramel sauce

Sea salt for sprinkling


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.

2. Whisk melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.

3. Add eggs and vanilla and whisk until glossy.

4. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

5. Fold in chocolate chips.

6. Spread half the batter into the pan.

7. Drizzle half the caramel and swirl.

8. Add remaining batter.

9. Swirl the remaining caramel on top.

10. Bake 30–35 minutes.

11. Cool completely and sprinkle with sea salt.

Notes

Chill brownies before slicing for clean edges.

Add nuts for extra crunch.

Slightly underbake for a gooey finish.

Freeze brownies for long storage.
