Description

Soft, tender Red Velvet Marble Bars with a beautiful chocolate swirl, perfect for dessert trays or gifting.


Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon red food coloring

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup milk


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment.

2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

3. Beat in eggs, vanilla, and red food coloring.

4. Whisk together flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.

5. Gradually add dry ingredients and milk to wet mixture.

6. Divide batter into two portions; mix cocoa with small portion for swirl.

7. Drop spoonfuls into pan and swirl with knife.

8. Bake 25–30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

9. Cool 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.

10. Slice into bars.
