Description

Red Velvet Brownies are rich, fudgy, and swirled with cream cheese for a decadent dessert.


Ingredients

Brownie Base:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons red food coloring

Cream Cheese Swirl:

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 large egg yolk


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment.

2. Whisk melted butter and sugar; add eggs, vanilla, cocoa, and salt.

3. Stir in flour and red food coloring until smooth.

4. Beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg yolk until smooth.

5. Spread half of brownie batter into pan, add cream cheese dollops, then top with remaining batter; swirl gently.

6. Bake 25-30 minutes until set; cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Use a toothpick for dramatic swirls.

Swap cream cheese with mascarpone for richness.

Add chocolate chips or white chocolate chunks.

Adjust pan size for mini brownies.
