Description
Pickled Radishes are crisp, tangy quick refrigerator pickles made with fresh radishes, vinegar, and simple seasonings.
Ingredients
1 bunch fresh radishes thinly sliced
1 cup white vinegar
1 cup water
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 garlic clove sliced
1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns
Optional 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds or red pepper flakes
Instructions
1. Wash and trim radishes.
2. Slice radishes thinly.
3. Place sliced radishes into clean jar.
4. Heat vinegar water sugar and salt in saucepan until dissolved.
5. Add garlic and peppercorns to jar.
6. Pour warm brine over radishes.
7. Cool to room temperature.
8. Seal jar and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
9. Serve once chilled.
Notes
Add sliced red onion for extra flavor.
Apple cider vinegar can replace white vinegar.
Add dill for herbal flavor.
Use chili flakes for spicy pickles.
Thin slices pickle faster.
