Description

Soft, chewy Peanut Butter Cookies with rich, nutty flavor. Perfect for snacks, lunchboxes, or holiday baking. Customize with chocolate chips or nuts.


Ingredients

Creamy peanut butter

Unsalted butter, softened

Granulated sugar

Brown sugar

Eggs

Vanilla extract

All-purpose flour

Baking soda

Salt

Chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.

3. Mix in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract until combined.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold into wet mixture until just combined.

5. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.

6. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheet. Flatten each with a fork, making a crisscross pattern.

7. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft.

8. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use chilled dough to prevent spreading.

Optional: add nuts or mini M&Ms.

Store in airtight container at room temperature up to 5 days.

Freeze baked cookies up to 2 months.
