Description

Mississippi Mud Pie is a rich layered chocolate dessert made with an Oreo crust, brownie base, smooth pudding layer, and whipped cream topping. It’s perfect for holidays, parties, and any occasion that calls for chocolate indulgence.


Ingredients

24 regular Oreos

6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

1/2 tsp kosher salt

Cooking spray

4 tbsp unsalted butter

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 large egg

1/4 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp kosher salt

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/8 tsp baking powder

1 (3.9 oz) box chocolate instant pudding mix

2 cups whole or 2% milk

1 1/2 cups cold heavy cream

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

4 Oreos, crushed (for garnish)

2 tbsp chocolate curls (optional)


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a pie pan or springform pan.

2. Pulse Oreos into crumbs, combine with melted butter and salt. Press into pan. Bake 8–10 minutes and cool.

3. Melt butter, whisk in sugars, then egg, cocoa, vanilla, and salt. Add flour and baking powder. Spread over crust. Bake 20–27 minutes. Cool completely.

4. Whisk pudding mix and milk until thick. Spread over brownie layer. Cover with plastic wrap directly on surface. Chill 2–4 hours.

5. Beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Spread over pudding layer.

6. Top with crushed Oreos and optional chocolate curls. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

Chill at least 2 hours for clean slices.

Freeze up to 1 month in airtight wrap or container.

Let sit at room temp 10 minutes before serving for best texture.
