Description
Crispy mac and cheese bites with golden breadcrumb coating. Easy, cheesy, and perfect as an appetizer or snack.
Ingredients
2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg, beaten
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line baking sheet.
2. Mix cooked macaroni with cheeses, butter, milk, and seasonings.
3. Shape mixture into 1–2 inch balls.
4. Dip in beaten egg and roll in breadcrumbs.
5. Place on prepared baking sheet.
6. Bake 15–20 minutes until golden and crispy.
7. Cool 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
Add bacon or jalapeños for flavor twist.
Freeze uncooked bites for later.
Reheat in oven for best crispiness.
