Description
Lemon Herb Peas are bright, fresh, and easy to prepare with lemon juice and herbs. A quick and flavorful vegetable side dish.
Ingredients
2 cups frozen or fresh green peas
1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
1 teaspoon fresh dill chopped optional
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Bring water to boil.
2. Add peas and cook 2–3 minutes.
3. Drain peas and return to pot.
4. Add olive oil or butter.
5. Stir in lemon juice and zest.
6. Add herbs, salt, and pepper.
7. Toss gently and serve warm.
Notes
Use fresh peas when available.
Add garlic for savory depth.
Add Parmesan for richness.
Use mint for fresh variation.
Do not overcook peas.
