Description

Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs are tender, juicy chicken thighs coated in a sweet and savory honey-garlic glaze, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale

6 bone-in skin-on chicken thighs

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and black pepper to taste

4 garlic cloves minced

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (optional)

Optional sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

1. Pat chicken dry and season with salt and pepper.

2. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat.

3. Sear chicken skin-side down 5 to 7 minutes until golden, flip 5 minutes more.

4. Remove chicken and set aside.

5. Sauté garlic 30 seconds until fragrant.

6. Stir in honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes.

7. Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce, simmer 10–12 minutes until cooked.

8. Optional: add cornstarch slurry to thicken 1-2 minutes.

9. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions and serve.

Notes

Use boneless chicken thighs for a lighter version.

Add vegetables for a one-pan meal.

Swap honey with maple syrup for a different sweet note.

Serve over rice or noodles to soak up sauce.

Make extra sauce for drizzling.
