Description
Fresh, creamy, and zesty homemade guacamole made with ripe avocados, lime juice, and herbs. Perfect as a dip, topping, or spread for chips, tacos, and more.
Ingredients
3 ripe avocados
1 small red onion, finely diced
1 medium tomato, seeded and diced
1–2 cloves garlic, minced
1 jalapeño or serrano pepper, minced (optional)
Juice of 1–2 limes
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
2. Mash the avocados with a fork until smooth but still slightly chunky.
3. Stir in the red onion, tomato, garlic, and jalapeño (if using).
4. Add lime juice and chopped cilantro, mixing until combined.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or cover tightly with plastic wrap pressed directly onto the surface to prevent browning.
Notes
For best color, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface before refrigerating.
Adjust lime and salt to taste; add extra jalapeño for more heat.
Try adding diced mango or pineapple for a fruity twist.
