Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all purpose flour
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Optional: whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F
2. Melt butter and cool slightly
3. Whisk butter and sugar
4. Beat in eggs and vanilla
5. Whisk dry ingredients separately
6. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture
7. Stir in chocolate chips
8. Pour into greased pie pan
9. Bake 30–35 minutes
10. Cool slightly before slicing
11. Serve warm or room temperature
