Description

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

¾ cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon baking powder

1 cup finely chopped or ground almonds

Optional: Powdered sugar for rolling


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

3. Add egg and vanilla and mix well.

4. Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and almonds.

5. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture to form dough.

6. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared sheets.

7. Optionally roll in powdered sugar.

8. Bake 12–15 minutes until edges are lightly golden.

9. Cool on sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
