Vanilla Buttercream Frosting:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

23 tablespoons milk


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin pan with liners.

2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.

3. Beat butter and sugar until light; add eggs and vanilla.

4. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to batter until smooth.

5. Divide batter among liners; bake 18–20 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.

6. Cool completely before frosting.

7. Prepare frosting by beating butter, adding sugar, vanilla, and milk; frost cupcakes.

Notes

Add lemon or almond extract for twist.

Use cream cheese frosting for tangy flavor.

Top with sprinkles, chocolate chips, or fruit.

Adjust baking time for mini cupcakes.
