Description

Tender filet mignon steaks topped with garlic herb butter, cooked to perfection for an easy gourmet dinner.


Ingredients

Scale

4 filet mignon steaks, 6 oz each

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped

1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped

Optional: lemon wedges


Instructions

1. Pat steaks dry and season with salt and pepper.

2. Heat olive oil in skillet until shimmering.

3. Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare.

4. Reduce heat; add butter, garlic, thyme, rosemary.

5. Tilt skillet and spoon butter over steaks 1–2 minutes.

6. Remove steaks; let rest 5 minutes.

7. Spoon remaining garlic butter over steaks.

8. Serve with sides and optional lemon wedges.

9. Add smoked paprika or black pepper for extra flavor.

10. Slice against the grain for tender bites.

Notes

Use room-temperature steaks for even cooking.

Serve with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
