Description
Crispy phyllo cups filled with creamy feta, cream cheese, herbs, and honey. These bite-sized appetizers are elegant, flavorful, and perfect for parties.
Ingredients
1 cup crumbled feta cheese
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon honey (plus more for drizzling)
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or ½ teaspoon dried thyme)
¼ teaspoon black pepper
12 mini phyllo shells (store-bought or homemade)
1 tablespoon melted butter
Optional: chopped pistachios, extra thyme, or chili flakes
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and arrange phyllo shells on a baking sheet.
2. Mix feta, cream cheese, olive oil, honey, lemon zest, thyme, and pepper until creamy.
3. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of filling into each phyllo shell.
4. Brush the phyllo edges with melted butter.
5. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden and crisp.
6. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle pistachios or thyme before serving.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Add fig jam or caramelized onions for a sweet twist. For a festive touch, top with pomegranate seeds and thyme.
