Description

Eggnog French Toast is a festive, creamy, spiced breakfast treat perfect for holiday mornings or cozy weekends.

Ingredients

Thick-cut bread (brioche or challah)

Eggs

Eggnog

Milk

Ground cinnamon

Ground nutmeg

Vanilla extract

Butter or oil for cooking

Optional toppings: powdered sugar, maple syrup, whipped cream, fresh berries

Instructions

1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, eggnog, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.

2. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.

3. Dip each slice of bread into the eggnog mixture, coating both sides.

4. Place bread on the skillet and cook 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.

5. Repeat with remaining slices.

6. Serve hot with your favorite toppings such as powdered sugar, maple syrup, whipped cream, or fresh berries.

Notes

Use day-old bread for better soaking.

Replace part of the milk with heavy cream for extra richness.

Add rum extract for a more traditional eggnog flavor.

Keep cooked slices warm in a 200°F oven while finishing the batch.
