Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted and cooled slightly
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional coatings: cocoa powder, crushed nuts, shredded coconut, or sprinkles
Instructions
1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
2. Add powdered sugar gradually, mixing until fully incorporated and fluffy.
3. Stir in the melted chocolate and vanilla extract until smooth and well blended.
4. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for about 1 hour, or until firm enough to handle.
5. Once chilled, use a small cookie scoop or spoon to portion out truffle-sized balls.
6. Roll each truffle between your hands to form smooth balls.
7. Coat the truffles in cocoa powder, crushed nuts, coconut, or sprinkles as desired.
8. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate until firm.
Notes
Add peppermint extract or orange zest for a flavor twist.
Dip in melted chocolate for an indulgent shell.
Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 2 months.
