Ingredients
12 ounces penne pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 oz) crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup milk
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
1/4 cup reserved pasta water
Fresh basil or parsley, optional
Instructions
1. Cook pasta and reserve pasta water.
2. Sauté garlic in olive oil.
3. Add crushed tomatoes and simmer.
4. Stir in cream, milk, and seasonings.
5. Add parmesan and melt.
6. Toss pasta with sauce.
7. Adjust consistency and serve.
Notes
Use fresh parmesan for best texture.
Add vegetables or protein if desired.
Reheat gently with extra milk.
