Description
Creamy Avocado Salsa is a rich and refreshing dip that combines ripe avocados, zesty lime juice, cilantro, and garlic for a smooth, creamy texture. It’s perfect for tacos, tortilla chips, grilled meats, or even as a salad dressing — and takes just 10 minutes to make.
Ingredients
2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
1 cup fresh cilantro leaves
1 jalapeño, seeded for mild heat or left whole for spicier flavor
2 cloves garlic
½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons lime juice
¼ cup olive oil
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons water (optional, to adjust consistency)
Instructions
1. Add avocados, cilantro, jalapeño, garlic, sour cream, and lime juice to a food processor or blender.
2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
3. Slowly drizzle in olive oil while blending for a velvety texture.
4. Season with salt and taste for balance.
5. Add a tablespoon or two of water if needed for thinner consistency.
6. Serve immediately with chips or as a topping for tacos and grilled dishes.
Notes
For a tangier flavor, increase lime juice slightly.
Use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream for a lighter version.
Make it spicy by keeping the jalapeño seeds or adding a serrano pepper.
To store, press plastic wrap directly on the salsa’s surface to prevent browning and refrigerate up to 3 days.
