There’s nothing quite like a traditional Classic Turkey Stuffing to bring the aroma of the holidays into your kitchen. Soft, buttery bread cubes mingle with savory herbs, onions, and celery to create a dish that’s both hearty and flavorful.
Ingredients
10 cups cubed day-old bread
1 cup unsalted butter
1 medium onion, diced
3 celery stalks, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons dried sage
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2–3 cups chicken or vegetable broth
2 large eggs, beaten
Optional: ½ cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté onion, celery, and garlic 5–7 minutes.
3. In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, herbs, salt, pepper, and parsley.
4. Add eggs and 2 cups broth. Toss gently. Add more broth if needed.
5. Transfer to baking dish. Cover and bake 25 minutes. Uncover and bake 20–25 minutes until golden.
6. Let sit 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Assemble a day ahead and refrigerate.
Add dried cranberries, apples, or nuts for festive flavor.
Use vegetable broth for vegetarian option.
Bake uncovered last 10–15 minutes for crispier top.
