Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons unsalted butter cold and cubed
2/3 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon milk (for brushing)
2 tablespoons coarse sugar (for sprinkling)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line baking sheet
2. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt
3. Cut cold butter into flour mixture until coarse crumbs
4. Stir in cream and vanilla until just combined
5. Shape dough into 1-inch thick round and cut into wedges
6. Place scones on prepared sheet and brush with milk
7. Sprinkle coarse sugar on top
8. Bake 15–18 minutes until lightly golden
9. Cool slightly before serving
