Ingredients
¼ cup fresh orange juice
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon orange zest
½ teaspoon lemon zest
⅓ cup olive oil
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
1 small garlic clove, minced
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. In a small bowl or jar combine orange juice, lemon juice, orange zest, and lemon zest.
2. Add Dijon mustard, honey or maple syrup, and minced garlic.
3. Slowly whisk in olive oil until the dressing becomes smooth and emulsified.
4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
5. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity if needed.
6. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.
Notes
Use freshly squeezed citrus juice for the best flavor.
Add red pepper flakes for a little heat.
Replace honey with maple syrup for a vegan version.
Add chopped herbs like basil, thyme, or parsley for extra flavor.
