Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.

2. Melt butter and chopped chocolate together until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.

3. Whisk in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until fully combined.

4. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt, folding gently until just combined.

5. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Cool completely.

6. Melt chocolate for mousse and let cool slightly.

7. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.

8. Gently fold melted chocolate into whipped cream until smooth.

9. Spread or pipe mousse over cooled brownies. Garnish with chocolate shavings, cocoa powder, or fresh berries. Chill at least 1 hour before serving.
