Ingredients
1 ½ cups chocolate cookie crumbs (like Oreos, without filling)
5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 ¼ cups heavy cream
10 ounces semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Fresh berries, whipped cream, or chocolate curls for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Combine cookie crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl until evenly coated.
3. Press mixture into a 9-inch tart pan, covering bottom and sides evenly.
4. Bake crust for 10 minutes, then let cool completely.
5. In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
6. Remove from heat and add chopped chocolate; let sit for 2 minutes.
7. Whisk until smooth, then stir in butter, vanilla, and salt.
8. Pour ganache into cooled crust, spreading evenly.
9. Tap gently to remove air bubbles.
10. Chill in refrigerator for 2–3 hours, or until firm.
11. Top with fresh berries, whipped cream, or chocolate curls before serving.
Notes
Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze up to 2 months.
Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
For a no-bake version, chill crust for 30 minutes instead of baking.
