Description

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread is moist, sweet, and studded with melty chocolate chips. Perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert, it uses ripe bananas for natural sweetness and tender crumb.

Ingredients

Scale

3 ripe bananas, mashed

1/3 cup melted butter

3/4 cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 large egg, beaten

1 teaspoon baking soda

Pinch of salt

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

2. In a large bowl, mash ripe bananas until smooth.

3. Stir in melted butter, sugar, and vanilla extract.

4. Beat in the egg until combined.

5. Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix.

6. Add flour and stir until just combined.

7. Fold in chocolate chips.

8. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.

9. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top if desired.

10. Bake for 60–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

11. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

Substitute half of the flour with whole wheat flour for a healthier twist.

Add chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans for extra texture.

Drizzle melted chocolate on top once cooled for extra chocolatey bread.

Freeze slices individually for grab-and-go snacks.

Use mini chocolate chips for even distribution.
