Description
Crispy chicken parmesan with marinara sauce and melted mozzarella, baked to golden perfection.
Ingredients
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 cups Italian-style breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup olive oil
2 cups marinara sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Fresh basil, for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a baking dish.
2. Slice chicken breasts into thin cutlets and season.
3. Prepare flour, egg, and breadcrumb stations.
4. Bread chicken in flour, egg, then breadcrumbs.
5. Fry chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden.
6. Transfer to baking dish and top with marinara.
7. Add mozzarella cheese evenly.
8. Bake 15–20 minutes until bubbly.
9. Garnish with basil and serve.
Notes
Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
Bake instead of fry for lighter version.
Freeze cooked chicken parmesan up to 2 months.
Reheat in oven for best texture.
