This chicken parmesan casserole layers tender chicken, pasta, marinara sauce, and gooey cheese for a comforting, easy baked dinner perfect for family meals.
Ingredients
12 ounces pasta penne or rotini
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast
2 cups marinara sauce
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons fresh basil chopped (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a casserole dish
2. Cook pasta until al dente
3. Toss pasta with marinara and seasonings
4. Layer half of pasta in casserole dish
5. Arrange half of chicken slices over pasta
6. Sprinkle half of mozzarella and parmesan
7. Repeat layers with remaining pasta, chicken, and cheese
8. Cover with foil and bake 20 minutes
9. Remove foil and bake 10-15 more minutes until cheese is golden
10. Garnish with fresh basil before serving

Use rotisserie chicken for quick prep
Add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms between layers
