Description
A light, creamy, and flavorful Spinach Quiche made with fresh spinach, eggs, cheese, and a buttery crust. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a light dinner.
Ingredients
All-purpose flour
Cold unsalted butter, cubed
Ice water
Salt
Olive oil
Chopped onion
Minced garlic
Fresh spinach, chopped
Large eggs
Milk or half-and-half
Shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or mozzarella)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Mix flour and salt in a bowl.
2. Cut butter into flour until crumbly.
3. Add cold water gradually until dough forms.
4. Wrap and chill dough for 30 minutes.
5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
6. Heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
7. Add spinach and cook until wilted, then set aside to cool.
8. Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
9. Stir in cheese and cooked spinach.
10. Roll out the dough and place it in a pie dish.
11. Pour filling into crust and smooth the top.
12. Bake for 35–40 minutes until the center is set.
13. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use fresh or frozen spinach, but squeeze out all moisture before adding.
To make it crustless, grease the pie dish and pour the filling directly in.
For a richer flavor, replace half the milk with cream.
Let the quiche rest before slicing to maintain its shape.
