Description
Crispy, golden, and loaded with cheese, Cheesy Potato Stackers are the perfect side dish or snack for any meal.
Ingredients
4 medium russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Optional: grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Thinly slice potatoes using a mandoline or sharp knife.
3. Toss potato slices with melted butter, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
4. Stack 4–5 potato slices per stack on the prepared baking sheet, slightly overlapping.
5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar between layers.
6. Optional: sprinkle Parmesan on top of each stack.
7. Bake 25–30 minutes until edges are golden and cheese is melted.
8. Cool 5 minutes and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Use different cheeses for variety, such as Gruyère or mozzarella.
Assemble stacks ahead of time and refrigerate.
Broil for 2–3 minutes for extra crispiness.
