Description

Cheddar Bay Biscuit Seafood Pot Pie combines creamy seafood filling with golden, cheesy biscuits for a comforting and indulgent dinner.


Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 small onion chopped

2 cloves garlic minced

2 tablespoons all purpose flour

1½ cups whole milk

1 cup seafood stock

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon dried thyme

1 cup frozen peas

1 cup carrots diced

1 pound shrimp peeled, deveined

½ pound lump crab meat

2 cups all purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon paprika

½ cup unsalted butter cold, cubed

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

¾ cup whole milk


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F

2. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil

3. Sprinkle flour and stir

4. Whisk in milk and seafood stock

5. Season with spices

6. Add peas, carrots, shrimp, crab

7. Pour mixture into baking dish

8. Prepare biscuit dough with dry ingredients, butter, cheese, milk

9. Drop biscuit dough over filling

10. Bake 25–30 minutes until golden

11. Cool slightly and serve

Notes

Do not overmix biscuit dough

Serve immediately for best texture

Use mix of seafood for extra flavor
